Dream Divers

DREAM DIVERS was established in 1996 on Gili Air by Astrid and Gerd. Today you can find DREAM DIVERS SSI Instructor Training Resort diving facilities, including booking office and shop, in Senggigi, Gili Air, and on Gili Trawangan, where we also have our 6 bungalows located behind the dive center, and 6 balcony rooms on top of the center. Our beach front restaurant on Gili Trawangan offers a wide range of Indonesian and international cuisine, and our pool side bar serves you refreshing drinks and cocktails.

Sadly, Gerd unexpectedly passed away in October 2010. He is much missed by his team, who continue his life's work in loving memory.

DREAM DIVERS is much more than a dive operator. Our Head Office in Senggigi is there to help ensure that your holiday is unforgetable. We can assist you with hotel reservations, transport, fast boats, ferries & domestic flights, sightseeing tours, outdoor activities, dive trips to South Lombok, Bali, or Komodo, snorkeling trips, and much, much, more.

The Management

Lars (Germany)

General Manager

Born and raised in Germany. After schooling, apprenticeship,  as well as studying, I started diving. Since that time, I was so much fascinated by the underwater world that I had spent every free minute intending to catch the beauty of the element water.

It was a logical decision for me that I had to become an instructor.

This sent me over the years around the world, up from the hobby became a profession. Together with my wife Doerthe we work first as an instructor and later as the dive center - / and resort managers. We worked in destinations such as Germany, the Dominican Republic, La Palma, Egypt, Maldives, and Indonesia, before we taken over Dream Divers  in October 2012 as the new General Management

I am based at the Dream Divers  Head Office in Senggigi, and together with my enthusiastic staff we pride ourselves in delivering excellent services to our guests - on land and below the sea.

I look forward to welcoming you and it is our pleasure to introduce you to the fascinating underwater world of the Gili Islands.

Doerthe (Germany)

Operations & Marketing Manager

Born and raised in Germany. After my schooling, as well as studies in economics and marketing, I worked several years as a project and marketing manager. In a holiday I got the diving "virus". Henceforth, the holiday turned exclusively to diving.
More and more fascinated by, it was a matter of time to turn the hobby to a profession. So I have started to prepare these steps and continued my training to become an instructor and later on the Instructor Trainer Certification.

With my husband Lars, we explore the world and in different destinations we worked as instructors, and dive center / resort manager, until we have taken over in October 2012 as head of the Dream Divers.

I am based in the Dream Divers Head Office in Senggigi, and am always there to be of assistance to both the Dream Divers facilities and our guests. Do not hesitate to contact me or my team for information, assistance or advice.
